Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide expert consultation and management for patients with hematologic and oncological disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and solid tumors.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, laboratory tests, and imaging studies. Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplantation, and novel therapies.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
- Clinical Leadership: Lead and supervise junior medical staff and fellows in the clinical management of oncology patients. Provide mentorship and guidance to healthcare professionals in the field of hematology oncology.
- Research & Education: Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to advance the field of hematology oncology. Educate patients, families, and colleagues on the latest advancements in cancer care.
- Patient Advocacy: Maintain a patient-centered approach, ensuring clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment options, potential side effects, and prognostic factors.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health system.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
- Specialization in Hematology Oncology (Board Certification or Eligibility required).
- Experience: Minimum of [5] years of clinical experience in hematology oncology, with proficiency in managing a wide range of hematological and oncological conditions.
