
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to newborns requiring intensive medical attention, including premature infants and those with birth defects or severe illness.
- Manage and supervise the operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring high standards of clinical care.
- Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and design individualized treatment plans.
- Work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Provide parental guidance and support, including counseling on neonatal conditions, prognosis, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to DOH regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay up-to-date on best practices in neonatology.
- On-call duties as required.
Qualifications:
- DOH License as a Neonatology Specialist (Mandatory)
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and relevant specialization in Neonatology
- Minimum [5] years of clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Board certification in Neonatology (if applicable)
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Arabic language proficiency preferred
