
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, and networking, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Manage and maintain Linux servers, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Administer web hosting platforms and control panels (cPanel/WHM, Plesk, Cloud Linux).
- Build, manage, and optimize virtual environments using hypervisors (VMware, Xen, Hyper-V, KVM, XCP-ng).
- Design, implement, and manage private cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and Apache CloudStack.
- Configure and manage network infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and RADIUS servers.
- Implement and maintain server security measures, including firewall configuration and threat mitigation.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions using monitoring tools (Cacti, Solarwinds, MRTG, Nagios XI).
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripting.
- Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot system issues.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
- Conduct training sessions for team members.
Skills
- Extensive experience in Linux administration (Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, Ubuntu).
- Proficiency in web hosting control panels (cPanel/WHM, Plesk, Cloud Linux).
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Xen, Hyper-V, KVM, XCP-ng).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (OpenStack, Apache CloudStack).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and RADIUS servers.
- Skills in server hardening and security best practices.
- Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Basic shell scripting abilities.
- Understanding of hardware configuration and storage systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities.
- Certifications (RHCE, RHCT, MCA200, CompTIA A+) preferred.
