Job Summary:
This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers working on those projects and adhering to standard processes, systems, and project management principles.
- Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Aftermarket parts process setup for the HVAC products, good knowledge on the HVAC products and functions. Good knowledge in HVAC subsystems and components.
- Knowledge on the aftermarket parts, understanding the Bill of materials, creating the required models based on the requirements in Creo/Creo Illustrate.
- Windchill/Team Center knowledge with an expert level of competence would be an added benefit. Hands on experience in Creo parametric, Creo illustrate and Creo View.
- Good Knowledge on Part data analytics, generating reports, Tableau, SQL would be an added advantage.
- Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q), Delivery (D). Proficient in managing the project.
- Demonstrates innovation & initiative approach at work, ability to develop new methods and approaches.
- Prepare/maintain Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.
- Collaborates and communicates with cross functional teams and project partners.
- Provides design support for current production parts and products.
- Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices.
- Commit to deliver 100% QDC.
Experience/Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Hands on experience on Creo & Wind-chill.
- Good knowledge on casting, machining, sheet metal part design and manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge on Bill of Materials and Engineering change management process.
- Automobile/HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.
- Good Oral and Written communication skill.
- Ability to handle Design/Drawing release process with minimum guidance.
- Good understanding of refrigeration sub systems and components
