General Summary:
The backend developer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the back-end modules of multiple enterprise cloud applications. These applications will need to scale efficiently and be highly responsive. Experience developing APIs, interfacing with front-end applications, and optimizing database operations will greatly benefit the team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems or related field.
- 5+ years of experience programming in Java.
- Proficient in core Java and OO concepts.
- Experience with Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate
- Experience designing and building backend REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL
- Experience using version control systems like Git (or SVN, Perforce)
- Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently, and identify solutions.
- Experience with agile development methods including continuous integration and continuous deployment, such as Jenkins
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus
- Proficiency with other languages like Python, or Node and test automation tools such as JMeter, or similar tools.
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React.
- Masters in CS/IS or related discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
