Preparing the patient for the ultrasound examination.•    Perform diagnostic procedures using sonographic equipment.•    Obtain and  record patient’s history•    Maneuver patients into appropriate position for procedure.•    Examine abdomen, breasts, female reproductive system, prostate, heart and blood vessels.•    Record anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.•    Perform clinical assessment during the examinations.•    Identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.•    Uses ultrasound machine to detect and determine any injuries inside the body•    Identify normal and abnormal findings.•    Analyzed sonograms and relay findings to physician.•    Prepare preliminary reports.•    Address problems and inquiries from patient and requests further testing if needed.•    To view and interpret images with sound waves for the diagnosis and treatment of medical condition.•    Perform accurate ultrasound tests of a particular area of the body based on the physicians order.•    Execute calculations and measurements of the images performed and presented to the physician for a diagnosis and treatment plan.•    Perform with the ultrasound testing machine to view the fetus in the womb to determine size, weight and/or gender, along with any potential problems with the fetus.•    Selecting the appropriate equipment for the ultrasound examination.•    Performing ultrasound examinations that yield important diagnostic information & recording and gathering ultrasound data.•    Analyzing the data collected and reporting the ultrasound findings to the physician in an oral and written fashion for diagnosis.•    Using independent judgement whether to extend the scope of ultrasound examination or not based on the ultrasound findings.•    Interacting and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals for providing a good quality care of the patient.•    Develops new techniques for performing the examinations.•    As well as helping the surgeons in the operating room to see structures and organs that may be obscured from direct view.•    Working with radiologist on daily basis by assuming independent roles, by working for non-radiologists, and by working in a hospital settings without physician’s supervision.
