Responsibilities

• Assess the occupational therapy needs of the patient, develop a rehabilitation plan of care based on the assessment that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan, and provide occupational therapy services as specified in the rehabilitation care plan, reassessing the patient’s response to the services provided and reviewing the rehabilitation care plan as needed.
• Conduct specialized patient examinations.
• Maintain the documentation provided within the daily therapy note in EMS.
• Engage in marketing and community education functions as required.
• Plan and implement educational activities during service to meet specific learning needs and implement performance improvement initiatives. Encourage participation in employee education activities and provide consultations to facility staff.

Requirements

• a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in differential diagnosis and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to patients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and patient goals.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in the field.
• Valid professional license or registration as an occupational therapist in Saudi Arabia.
